Our Horses

Featured Stallion

peggy

Warm-hearted. Gentle by nature.

From Workhorse to Gentle Companion

Peggy is a Percheron mare with a history rooted in the rolling fields of Iowa, where she once worked alongside the Amish for carriage rides and farm duties. From the moment we met her, her calm spirit and gentle strength told us she was meant to be part of our family.

A New Chapter of Care and Purpose

Today, Peggy resides at Benson Equestrian Center in Baltic, SD. When she’s not delighting guests with carriage rides, she shares her warmth through “Horsepower,” a nonprofit program where she serves as a therapy horse. Surrounded by open pastures and a caring herd, Peggy has found a new chapter of peace, love, and purpose.

Featured Stallion

Sue

Champion lineage. Impeccable form.

Grace from the Fields of Iowa

Sue, a Percheron mare like her companion Peggy, carries with her the grace and patience earned from years of carriage rides and farm work with the Amish in Iowa. Her gentle nature and steady presence made it clear she belonged with us from the very start.

Life Among Friends and Therapy Work

Now at home at Benson Equestrian Center in Baltic, SD, Sue splits her days between giving carriage rides and offering comfort through her role as a therapy horse with “Horsepower.” In the company of her herd, grazing freely on wide green fields, Sue has embraced a life filled with care, compassion, and belonging.
